Patrons of Jason’s Deli who mentioned Al’s Pals from 5 to 10 p.m. donated 15 percent of sales from their meals.

Al’s Pals is a mentoring program for children that works with local elementary schools. Two days out of the week, members of the organization meet to mentor and tutor children at Central Elementary, McKenzie Court Community Center, Maxwell Elementary and Northington Elementary.

“We were really thankful that people came out to support Al’s Pals,” said Jasmine Reese, president of Al’s Pals .
