Rick Santorum to discuss religious freedom with students

Rick+Santorum+to+discuss+religious+freedom+with+students

What: Rick Santorum will deliver a speech about religious freedom within the United States in the current state of politics. Following the speech, entitled “God Is A Microaggression: An Evening With Rick Santorum,” there will be a question and answer session.

Who: Rick Santorum, former Senator and former presidential candidate, will be brought to campus by the University chapter of Young Americans for Freedom.

When: Monday Oct. 9. Doors open at 6:45 p.m., keynote begins at 7 p.m.

Where: ten Hoor Hall Room 125.

Why: Drawing from experiences from his time as a politician in Washington D.C., Santorum will provide his take on the future of religious liberty in the United States.

“Being able to bring in Senator Santorum is a huge honor for us as a chapter,” said Joe Ballard, president of UA Young Americans for Freedom. “Throughout this entire process, I’ve had the chance to talk to countless students who were eager to hear this message of conservatism. Senator Santorum is an incredibly influential figure in the American political sphere, and it is an honor to be able to host him.”
