Nurses from Capstone College of Nursing, the Student Health Center and the College of Community Health Sciences are providing free flu shots for students, employees and their spouses beginning Sept. 5 at Moody Music Hall. The campaign, led by the College of Community Health Sciences, will continue through Nov. 28 on various dates and at different locations throughout campus.

Who: The College of Community Health Sciences is administering the free flu shot campaign

What: Free flu shots for students, employees and spouses

When: Starting Wednesday, Sept 5. from 11:30 am-2:30 pm, then on several other dates through Nov. 28

Where: Moody Music Building on Wednesday, then at different locations on campus

Why: Emily Shady, a senior majoring in nursing, said anyone who does not take advantage of a free flu shot could harm others.

“They are putting babies, kids and the elderly at risk because even if it doesn’t hit them too hard, they can spread it and cause a really serious problem,” Shady said. “Not taking advantage of this is an uneducated decision on their behalf.”
