Preview: Spectrum to host LGBTQ+ Alumni Association

Who: Spectrum, The University of Alabama’s LGBTQ+ student organization

What: Spectrum is hosting the LGBTQ+ Alumni Association to assess what they can do for current students.

When: Sept. 14, 2018,  7 p.m.

Where: Safe Zone Lounge, in Ferguson Student Center Suite 2419

Why: To discuss current LGBTQ+ students’ needs and plans for the future. The event will have free pizza.

Kendell Wilson, president of Spectrum, said that events like this can serve as an outlet for LGBTQ+ students on campus express their concerns.

“Students at UA, especially LGBTQ, can fell like their voices are not heard, so this event is specifically to give them a voice, so the changes they want to see on campus will be heard,” Wilson said.
