WHAT: The School of Social Work’s International Students and Scholars Social

WHO: The event is aimed at international students and faculty and staff in the School of Social Work.

WHEN: Sept. 26 at 4 p.m.

WHERE: 3rd floor reception area in Little Hall

WHY: The event is meant to help international students in the School of Social Work get to know the faculty and staff in the college.

“I think that people do best when they have an opportunity to get to know each other,” said Debra Nelson-Gardell, associate professor and coordinator of International Initiatives in the School of Social Work.

“The students can interact with other people and learn how other people are meeting challenges and what resources might be available to them,” Nelson-Gardell said. “They might make some friends who might give them some social support.”
