From the encouraging sticky notes spotted around campus, to the students handing out snacks during finals week, the culprit is most likely the students of Crimson Kindness, a student-run organization on campus dedicated to the creation and
dispersal of random acts of kindness.

Crimson Kindness was created a year and a half ago and is led by president Audrey Gunn, a senior majoring in psychology.

“We live in a world that is filled with negativity and that mixed with the additional stress of being in college can be extremely overwhelming,” Gunn said. “We’re here to be that uplifting reminder in the middle of someone’s day.”

Crimson Kindness is dedicated to promoting the notion of unfiltered kindness – spreading and showing kindness despite circumstances.

Thursday, Nov. 13, is National Kindness Day and members of Crimson Kindness will be on the second floor of the Ferguson Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. handing out candy, hot chocolate packets with notes and Big Al will be present to give hugs.
