Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry, and Jeff Cook joined to form what would become Alabama in 1977.  Though they called Fort Payne, AL home, they began their careers Wild Country, playing as the house band for the Bowery in Myrtle Beach, SC. The group found mainstream success in their second album produced by RCA record company with songs such as “Old Flame” and “Love in the First Degree,” according to the band’s website.

Alabama is focused on renovating their brand with their first step being “Southern Drawl.” In an interview with Brian Mansfield from USA Today (http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/music/2015/07/26/alabama-southern-drawl-first-album–14-years/30411243/), Alabama discussed their long-term project, which will include upgrades to the Alabama Fan Club and hopes to produce a documentary and a book about Alabama.

For now, Alabama is touring “Southern Drawl,” their latest album that guitarist Jeff Cook said in an interview with Music Times, “is going to be a little different to their ears.”

Alabama’s iconic discography and sound is sure to delight old fans and new. Tickets became available for purchase today at 10 am.
