Weekend Band Scene June 1-4

It’s the first week of the summer term but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have some fun. Here’s a look at what artists are bringing their musical talents to Tuscaloosa this weekend. 

Handshake Promise at Rhythm and Brews – Rhythm and Brews will kick off the weekend with a performance by southern rock band Handshake Promise. The doors will open at 5 p.m.

Taylor Hunnicutt at Druid City Brewing Company – Birmingham singer/songwriter Taylor Hunnicutt will perform Thursday night at Druid City Brewing Company. The free show starts at 8 p.m.

Doc Holiday & Hotbed at Green Bar – Two bands, Doc Holiday and Hot Bed, will perform Thursday night at Green Bar to kick off Hot Bed’s Heart Beats Strange Tour. The free show starts at 9 p.m. 

B2b Band at Band of Brothers Brewing Company. – The Tuscaloosa based R&B/funk group B2b Band will perform at Band of Brothers on Friday night. The free show starts at 7 p.m. 

Carson Carlisle Band at Rhythm and Brews – Country artist Carson Carlisle will be at Rhythm and Brews on Friday night. The show will start at 9 p.m.

Boon Dock Saints at The Alcove International Tavern – The Boon Dock Saints will take the stage at The Alcove International Tavern to play some classic rock on Friday night. The show will start at 10 p.m.  

Seeds? at Green Bar – Wrapping up the Friday night scene will be Seeds? at Green Bar. The free show is ages 19 and up. Doors will open at 8 p.m. with music starting at 10:30.

Kat Taylor & JP Miller at Band of Brothers Brewing Company – Tuscaloosa country singers Kat Taylor and JP Miller will take the stage Saturday night at Band of Brothers. The free show will start at 7 p.m. 

Smoke N Guns at Rhythm and Brews – Country rock duo Smoke N Guns will bring their tour to Rhythm and Brews on Saturday night. Doors open at 7 p.m.  

D.C. Moon’s Threshold People at Egan’s – Sci-fi punk group D.C. Moon’s Threshold People will perform Saturday night at Egan’s. The show is free and starts at 10 p.m. 

Murph at Green Bar – Murph will finish out Saturday night band scene with a performance at Green Bar. The show is ages 19 and up and tickets cost $5. Doors will open at 8 p.m. and music will start at 10:30. 

Jerry Robbins at Black Warrior Brewing Company – Rounding out the weekend, jazz musician Jerry Robinson will bring his saxophone to play a show at Black Warrior Brewing Company on Sunday. The free show starts at 5 p.m.
