Changes have been made to polling locations

Members of The University of Alabama Community who are casting votes in Tuscaloosa County on Nov. 8, should be aware that six polling locations will be changed.

These changes will affect Wards 9, 19, 23, 26, 29 and 45, according to Tuscaloosa News.

Ward 9 polling will be relocated to Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Voting for Ward 9 formerly took place at Yellow Creek Fire Department.

Ward 19 polling will be relocated at Mount Olive Baptist Church. Voting for Ward 19 formerly took place at Mount Olive Volunteer Fire Department.

Ward 23 polling will be relocated to Church of the Highlands. Voting for Ward 23 formerly took place at Tuscaloosa Academy.

Ward 26 polling will be relocated to Alberta Baptist Church. Voting for Ward 26 formerly took place at the Boys Club at Jaycee Park.

Ward 29 polling will be relocated to New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Voting for Ward 29 formerly took place at Sprayberry Regional Education Center.

Ward 45 polling will be relocated to Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church. Voting for Ward 45 formerly took place at Skyland Elementary School.

The Tuscaloosa News reports that four of the polling location changes were made due to a lack of space. The other two were changed because the original location was either closing or will be under construction on election day.

Regardless of location, eligible citizens are encouraged to vote on Nov. 8.
