The four-piece Nashville band Judah & The Lion takes the stage at Druid City Music Hall tonight with a unique alternative, folk rock sound. Touring their new album, “Folk Hop N’ Roll,” the band provides an energetic live show for the audience.

With lead vocalist, Judah Akers on guitar, Brian Macdonald on mandolin, Nate Zuercher on banjo, and Spencer Cross on drums, the band is able to experiment and cross genres through instrument stylings. The band is a culmination of diverse music tastes and influences, reflected in the most recent album name.

The band meshes the perfect mix between hip-hop and folk. Banjo and mandolin represent the southern twang of the band, while more hip-hop beats add an upbeat pop flare. This becomes even more apparent as the band performs covers of popular songs, including, “Mr. Brightside” and “Booty Wurk (One Cheek at a Time),” and “Lose Yourself.”

Tonight, Judah & The Lion will perform with openers Billy Raffoul and Tyson Motsenbocker at Druid City Music Hall. The show is all ages and will begin at 8:30 p.m., with doors at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $25.
