WHO: All students whom are currently enrolled at The University of Alabama
WHAT: A reminder of the deadline to drop a course with a grade of “W” for the full fall 2018 term via myBama
WHEN: Wednesday, Oct. 31 by 11:59 p.m.
WHERE: Students can drop an individual course online through myBama by navigating to the Student page and selecting the icon labeled “Add/Drop Classes.”
WHY: Students should be aware of the upcoming deadline and to contact an academic advisor prior to dropping a class. Dropping below full-time status could impact one’s insurance, financial aid or scholarships.

Anthony Winston, manager of tutorial services at Capstone Center for Student Success, said students should always consult an advisor before taking any action in order to make the right decision and that there are many resources on campus if needed.

“It’s also important to know that academic resources are available,” Winston said. “Tutorial assistance, a number of workshops and academic coaching are three different areas where we work with students.”
