Alabama was unveiled as the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoffs on Sunday afternoon, although it wasn’t much of a surprise after the Crimson Tide claimed a thrilling 35-28 comeback victory over Georgia in the SEC Championship on Saturday night.

Alabama is set to face Big 12 champion Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl in Miami on Dec. 29. The winner will advance to the College Football Playoff National Championship for a meeting against either Clemson or Notre Dame.

The Crimson Tide’s game against the Sooners could be a showdown between two Heisman Trophy finalists in Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa and Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray. Tagovailoa will undergo a procedure to remedy a high ankle sprain he suffered in the game against Georgia. But the sophomore quarterback should be out for only two weeks, giving him time to prepare for the matchup, according to coach Nick Saban.
