Amy Bramlett will teach students more about salary negotiation as they prepare for their professional careers on March 29.

Pizza will be provided at the event and guests should RSVP on Handshake.

WHO: All University of Alabama students are welcome to attend. The College of Communications & Information Sciences has partnered with Amy Bramlett to lead the event.

WHAT: Salary Negotiation with Amy Bramlett

WHEN: Friday, March 29 from noon-1 p.m.

WHERE: 180 Reese Phifer Hall

WHY:

Amy Bramlett, manager of C&IS Satellite Office and Career Center, said she believes this event is important for UA students to attend because when people are posed with the opportunity to negotiate a salary, they do not always feel comfortable or empowered.

“It’s an expected part of business to at least have a little discussion about your salary and benefits,” Bramlett said. “We just want to make people aware that they can ask, they can carry it onto a discussion and that it’s something that is not intimidating as it sounds. It is well in their ability to be able to do something like that.”
