Bama Blitz is an online fundraising event for UA alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends that serves as a way for people to come together to support different colleges at The University of Alabama. People can give back in support of one of the Passion Projects chosen by each college by using social media and crowdfunding.

Who: Department of Campus Life and School of Social Work

What: Bama Blitz

When: Wednesday, April 10 from noon-8:30 p.m.

Where: Little Hall

Why:

“It is university-wide, so each college decides on a Passion Project, and each college picks what they want their money to go towards,” said Lindsey Johnson, events coordinator for the School of Social Work. “Each college sets a goal that they try and meet to go towards their project. If you go on the Bama Blitz website, every college is listed and what their Passion Project is.”

Johnson said last year was the first year the University did the fundraiser.

“It went really well last year, so we’re hoping it does this year as well,” Johnson said.
