UA students organized a die-in demonstration at the Ferguson Center on Oct. 1 to bring attention to the experiences and concerns of marginalized students on campus. Because demonstrators were asked not to talk during the die-in, members of the demonstration were given a piece of paper to explain the purpose of the protest. Faculty, staff and administration members observed the demonstration.
