No. 2 Alabama began its game-week preparations for No. 1 LSU on a chilly Monday afternoon. Here are our observations from the media viewing period:

Junior quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was present at practice and threw a few passes during the viewing period. Tagovailoa sprained his ankle against Tennessee on Oct. 19 and appeared to have a sleeve on his right leg. Coac Nick Saban said earlier in the day that Tagovailoa’s practice involvement throughout the week would depend on how he looked in Monday’s practice. Saban said Tagovailoa and redshirt sophomore Mac Jones would share reps evenly on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Outside linebackers Terrell Lewis and Anfernee Jennings were both participating in individual drills. Both have participated sporadically over the last few weeks while dealing with and recovering from injuries, but it appears they’ve moved past them.

There wasn’t a full look at the offensive line, but junior left tackle Alex Leatherwood, redshirt junior Landon Dickerson and redshirt junior Deonte Brown were all spotted.

Redshirt sophomore inside linebacker Markail Benton was standing off to the side during individual drills. Freshmen Shane Lee and Christian Harris were the first pair, as always.
