Campus is about to get greener. Here are five environmental events to attend this week.

The Student Government Association, in partnership with the UA Environmental Council, is hosting its 30th annual Green Week from March 29 to April 2. 

Sarah Ortbal, UA Environmental Council’s director of Green Week, said she is looking forward to the environmental actions. 

“I’m super excited about Green Week,” she said. “We have been working since summer to plan all of the events and hope to have a great turn out.”

Here is a schedule of events for the week:

Monday, March 29 

Discovering Alabama documentary screening with Dr. Doug Phillips

Ferguson Lawn

5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

Tuesday, March 30

Virtual Vegan Cooking Class with Bama Dining

5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

Wednesday, March 31

Business Professional Clothing Drive

SGA Office

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Thursday, April 1

Picnic with Professors

Ferguson Lawn

12 p.m. to 2 p.m. 

Friday, April 2

Recycling Drive

Great Hall

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

There will also be a fundraiser at The Red Shed from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m on Thursday, April 1. This event is not sponsored by the SGA due to alcohol being served.
