The second round of the Puerto Rico Classic at the Rio Mar Country Club wrapped up Monday afternoon with No. 1 Alabama in sixth place with a score of 10-over par 578 (286-292) and senior Lee Hodges a top the leaderboards.

Through two rounds, Hodges is in first-place with a 36-hole score of 7-under (par 67-68). Due to windy weather conditions, Hodges was only one of eight players to score below par. In this 36-hole stretch, Hodges has recorded 30 pars, five birdies, and one eagle. His performance allowed him to have a one-stroke advantage over North Carolina State’s Stephen Franken.

Junior Davis Riley, who began the tournament as Golfstat.com’s No. 1 player, finished four-strokes behind Hodges at 3-under par 139. Riley and Hodges are two of 11 golfers who have shot under par through two rounds.

In only his second collegiate event, freshman Wilson Furr, is in a tie for 52nd after a two-day total of 9-over par 151. Senior Steven Setterstrom is in a tie for 60th at par 153. Rounding out the Tide’s starting five is senior Jonathan Hardee, who is in a tie for 68thwith a score of par 156.

Outside of the starting five, sophomore Josh Sedano and freshman Davis Shore are two of 23 golfers who are competing as individuals at the event. Sedano finds himself in a tie for sixth among the individual competitors with a score of 4-over par 148. Going into the last day, Shore is in a tie for 12th at 9-over par 153.

Seventh-ranked Georgia Tech leads the field with a team score of 6-under par 562. The host of the Puerto Rico Classic, Purdue, is in second place and the only other team with an overall score below par at 1-under 567.

Alabama will be paired with Clemson and North Carolina State for the final round which will start tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. Live scoring updates can be found at Golfstat.com
