The long injury list became longer for Alabama on Sunday.

First reported by Matt Zenitz of AL.com, redshirt senior Joshua McMillon is likely out for the season after he suffered a knee injury during the team’s first scrimmage of fall camp. According to sources, McMillon has a “small chance” to return later in the season.

This the second major blow to the Crimson Tide depth chart in the past 24 hours, as freshman running back Trey Sanders may also be out for the season with a foot injury that requires surgery.

McMillon saw 18 games in his two seasons in an Alabama uniform and was slotted to start next to junior Dylan Moses at linebacker, who has also been held out of practice for the past two days.

Sophomore Markail Benton was seen taking first rep snaps in Moses’ place on Saturday. Also, former four-star prospect Ale Kaho has seen an increase of reps with true freshman Shane Lee.
