Just under a week before Alabama and Duke square off in Atlanta, the Crimson Tide may be a few key players short this weekend.

As reported by AL.com, a source close to the team said that junior running backs Najee Harris and Brian Robinson Jr. will sit out the first 30 minutes of the game for missing a team function.

Just a few moments later, BamaOnline reported that the two running backs will also be joined by redshirt junior outside linebacker Terrell Lewis and junior receiver DeVonta Smith.

Lewis is just coming back after two major injuries in his sophomore and junior years ended his season short. Christopher Allen looks to be the next OLB up if Lewis is sidelined for the Duke game.

On the offensive side of the ball, Alabama has options. If Smith does indeed sit, Jerry Jeudy can move to an outside receiver spot and Jaylen Waddle can fill in at slot receiver. Tyrell Shavers or John Metchie could also step into Smith’s spot.

Head coach Nick Saban will address the media after practice on Wednesday.
