Alabama spent its first practice of the bye week outside on a cloudy Tuesday afternoon. Here are our observations from practice:

Tua Tagovailoa was not seen at practice as he still recovers from his ankle injury. There is no time-table for his return to the field although coach Nick Saban said in the Tennessee post-game press conference that Tagovailoa should be back for next weekend’s game against LSU.

Ale Kaho was spotted at practice in a black non-contact jersey with a protective glove over his left hand. Saban said that Kaho suffered a fractured hand in the game against Arkansas but will be able to play in a cast. With Kaho limited during individual drills, Jaylen Moody and Shane Lee were the first pair to go through linebacker drills. Christian Harris and Joe Donald were the next duo to participate followed by Kaho and Wes Baumhower.

Evan Neal and Landon Dickerson were both spotted at practice but did not participate in individual drills. Neal suffered a groin injury during the Arkansas game and it is unknown as to why Dickerson did not practice. With Neal and Dickerson off to the side, Emil Ekiyor Jr. and Chris Owens filled in at both left guard and center respectively.

Tight end Miller Forristall was not seen with the tight ends during the media viewing period. With Forristall missing, Major Tennison and Giles Amos were the first two tight ends to go through position drills.
